The speakers

Marie-Jeanne Chevremont-Lorenzini

Independent Director

Independent director and key figure in Luxembourg’s financial sector, Marie-Jeanne Chèvremont-Lorenzini was one of the principal architects of PwC Luxembourg’s growth. She began her career at Coopers & Lybrand Luxembourg (now PwC) at a time when the company had only four employees. In 1987, she became Managing Partner, and under her leadership, PwC became the leading firm among the “Big 4” in Luxembourg, growing from 16 people to over 1,400 employees by the time she left in 2007. She played a significant role in expanding audit and investment management services, positioning Luxembourg as a leading international financial center.

Beyond her national responsibilities, Marie-Jeanne played a major role at the European and global levels, coordinating investment management services for PwC across Europe and holding a leadership position in PwC’s global financial services team. After leaving PwC, she took on independent director roles at several leading institutions, including Clearstream Bank Luxembourg, Pictet & Cie, and Schroder SICAVs, while advising leaders on governance matters.

In addition to her involvement in the private sector, she holds pro bono positions, including as a board member of Stëftung Hëllef Doheem and honorary chair of Women in Business Asbl. Today, she continues to contribute to the development of Luxembourg’s financial sector as chair of the audit committee at Clearstream Bank Luxembourg.
