Olivier Domin dit OLLL
In his workshop at Le Suquet des Artistes in Cannes, Olivier Domin, known as OLLL, creates as naturally as he breathes. His works are pop, rock, eccentric, and joyful, much like his personality. With his round glasses perched on his nose and a sweatshirt emblazoned with a quirky message, he embodies the "OLLL look."
From the moment you meet him, it’s clear that you’re dealing with a truly unique character. This "head of art" embraces a provocative, transgressive universe, always delivering a powerful message: "Art and aesthetic sense drive my creations, but I always imbue them with meaning." One of his recurring themes is religion, which he aims to make more rock 'n' roll. Take, for example, a pink candy-colored statuette of Jesus Christ under glass titled *In case of loss in faith break glass*—a bold and successful statement.
For the past three years, this multifaceted artist has been steering his work in a new direction: "When I saw more and more reprographic paintings appearing in galleries, I thought it was overdone, and that we could do something different. Today, my work is more mature, more personal; icons and tattoos are at its core, and the use of color—a nod to pop art—remains vital," says this hyperactive creative, who works 10 to 15 hours a day "with passion and ease." Whether in the form of paintings, photographs, sculptures, or installations, his techniques evolve based on his discoveries.
Drawing from his first career in marketing with BMW, OLLL retains a love for new technologies and often designs on his computer, such as a black-and-white portrait of a woman, printed and covered in tattoos. From his Narbonne roots, he keeps a fondness for *figuration libre* and the Sète school of Hervé Di Rosa, and he finds endless inspiration in 10 years of traveling the world. "With all my inspirations, I have enough work for 200 years."
For his pleasure... and ours.
