This tasting is organized by Bourdy Fine Wines, a wine merchant founded by Mélodie and Gregory Bourdy.

Gregory and Melodie will be joined by Nils Vaincot, Sales Manager at Château Quintus, to present and host this tasting. Our Chef will prepare homemade finger foods paired with each wine.

In 2011, Domaine Clarence Dillon acquired a superb Saint-Emilion property, now renamed Château Quintus. In 2013, Château Quintus acquired another neighboring property, as well as a third in 2021. These three exceptional properties now form a 45-hectare vineyard producing one of the finest Saint-Emilion wines.

The Gallo-Romans, creators of the Saint-Emilion vineyard, customarily named their fifth child Quintus (fifth). Domaine Clarence Dillon therefore decided to pay homage to their glorious predecessors by renaming the cru Château Quintus.

The number 5 (V) characterizes this property, with its hillsides and plots facing the four cardinal points, sloping toward the sky, to which winegrowers turn daily for their omens.

Perched on a limestone promontory rising to an altitude of 62 meters, Château Quintus offers majestic 360° views of the Dordogne Valley. Its plateau, facing north, west, and south, overlooks an incredible wealth of microclimates and clay-limestone terroirs conducive to the finest expressions of the Merlot and Cabernet Franc grape varieties.

In 2021, Château Quintus became one of the largest estates in Saint-Émilion, now spanning 45 hectares, 42 of which are planted with vines. The addition of these prestigious terroirs offers the winemaking teams an even richer palette to create their blends from a selection of the most demanding grapes.
