MeluXina: The Supercomputer for Everyone!

The Luxembourg government has invested in MeluXina, one of the most powerful and greenest supercomputers in Europe. Public research and large corporations are already using it, but did you know that SMEs can benefit from “Cashback 80%” subsidies?

Arnaud Lambert will explain the role of supercomputers in research and the economy, as well as in sovereignty, cybersecurity, and compliance for the financial sector. He will also present the available grants for implementing data analysis, modeling, and generative AI in SMEs.

The speakers

Arnaud Lambert

Throughout his career, Arnaud Lambert has operated at the intersection of IT and business, leveraging his management education and affinity for technology. After earning a master’s degree in management from the Louvain School of Management in Belgium, he began his career in 1994 at Procter & Gamble, first in marketing in Belgium, then at the European headquarters, where he was responsible for logistics systems for the EMEA region.

In 1998, Arnaud moved to Luxembourg to join Cargolux, where he held several leadership positions within the IT division. His mission was to harness IT to support the company’s business strategy. In 2004, he was part of the founding team of CHAMP Cargosystems, a spin-off from Cargolux IT, where he took on multiple roles, including customer service management, IT development, and operations.

In 2015, Arnaud became the CEO of CHAMP (www.champ.aero), leading the company to become one of the major SaaS solution providers for the air cargo industry, overseeing 500 colleagues across seven offices worldwide. In October 2020, Arnaud joined the board of LuxProvide, Luxembourg’s national supercomputer, as an independent director, contributing his extensive go-to-market experience.

In January 2021, Arnaud joined Luxinnovation, Luxembourg’s national innovation agency, as director of the Digital Innovation Hub (www.dih.lu), focused on accelerating the digital transformation of industry. His role expanded in 2022 to oversee the entire digital transformation department, including national expertise in high-performance computing (www.supercomputing.lu) and Gaia-X (www.gaia-x.lu). In October 2023, Arnaud was invited to lead LuxProvide as CEO, aiming to elevate the company’s impact on businesses, research, and the public sector.
