Louis Saillans
Former officer of the French Special ForcesLouis Saillans is a former officer of the Marine Commandos and a member of the Special Forces.
Passionate about aviation, he joined the Air Force after completing his baccalaureate and later pursued Marine Commando training. He served in the Special Forces for ten years, becoming a group leader after five years. During nearly a decade, he participated in military operations in Africa and the Middle East, focusing on freeing hostages, capturing jihadist leaders, and neutralizing terrorists.
In his book *Chef de Guerre* (Mareuil éditions, 2021), drawing from notes taken during his missions and archive documents he accessed, he reveals the reality of Special Forces missions with utmost accuracy.
