B17 and Maison Bernard-Massard are pleased to present a series of wine-themed events in 2026: “Meet the Winemakers.”
Each season, this will be an opportunity to meet an independent winemaker who will present their work, their wines, their family history, and introduce you to their different vintages.
For this inaugural event, we will welcome Jean de Boisséson, from a family closely linked to the history of Château de Lacquy, who today embodies the continuity and exacting standards of one of the oldest family-owned Armagnac estates still in operation.
Owned by the same family since the early 18th century, Château de Lacquy is an absolute benchmark of Bas-Armagnac, renowned for the finesse, elegance, and exceptional aging potential of its eaux-de-vie. The estate is situated on a terroir of tawny sands, particularly well-suited to the distillation of elegant and complex Armagnacs.
Jean de Boisséson represents the new generation at Château de Lacquy. Faithful to a strong heritage vision, he is dedicated to preserving a unique model: estate-distiller-aging, where all stages of production are controlled in-house, from the vineyard to extended aging in the cellars. This approach guarantees a consistent identity and a pure expression of the terroir.
Committed to the tradition of continuous distillation in the Armagnac still and extended aging in Gascon oak barrels, Jean de Boisséson champions a vision of Armagnac based on time, transmission, and authenticity, while fully integrating it into a contemporary and gastronomic context.
This masterclass will be an opportunity to discover, through his eyes, the living history of Armagnac, the uniqueness of Château de Lacquy and the precision of a craft recognized by the greatest amateurs and professionals.

Propriétaire du Château de Lacquy – Bas-ArmagnacIssu d’une famille étroitement liée à l’histoire du Château de Lacquy, Jean de Boisséson incarne aujourd’hui la continuité et l’exigence d’une des plus anciennes propriétés familiales d’Armagnac encore en activité.
Propriété de la même famille depuis le début du XVIIIᵉ siècle, le Château de Lacquy est une référence absolue du Bas-Armagnac, reconnu pour la finesse, l’élégance et la capacité de garde exceptionnelle de ses eaux-de-vie. Le domaine est installé sur un terroir de sables fauves, particulièrement propice à la distillation d’Armagnacs racés et complexes.
Jean de Boisséson représente la nouvelle génération du Château de Lacquy. Fidèle à une vision patrimoniale forte, il œuvre à la préservation d’un modèle unique : domaine–distillateur–éleveur, où toutes les étapes de production sont maîtrisées en interne, de la vigne à l’élevage long en chais. Cette approche garantit une identité constante et une lecture très pure du terroir.
Attaché à la tradition de la distillation continue à l’alambic armagnacais et à des élevages prolongés en fûts de chêne gascon, Jean de Boisséson défend une vision de l’Armagnac fondée sur le temps, la transmission et l’authenticité, tout en l’inscrivant pleinement dans une lecture contemporaine et gastronomique.
Cette masterclass sera l’occasion de découvrir, à travers son regard, l’histoire vivante de l’Armagnac, la singularité du Château de Lacquy et la précision d’un travail artisanal reconnu par les plus grands amateurs et professionnels.
