Benoit Poletti was born in 1979. He is of Franco-German origin. He speaks French, English and German.

Benoit represents Luxembourg at European and international levels such as:
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Technical Advisory Group on Passenger Identification Program (TAG/TRIP).
International Air Transport Association (IATA) Controlling Authorities Working Group (CAWG).
The World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Benoit is a member of INTERPOL’s Global Cybercrime Group, where he focuses on forensics and
threat intelligence activities.
His areas of expertise are cybersecurity, identity management and cryptography applied to various
sectors such as aviation, automotive, travel documents and healthcare.

Over the past 15 years, Benoit has contributed as an editor to several ISO and CEN standards, which are now used around the world by governments and industries. As part of his activities at INCERT, he also supports emerging countries on issues of cybersecurity, travel documents and digital governance.
